On June 27, the Mercurio Awards organized by the Marketing Club of La Rioja were held in Riojaforum. IGP Chorizo Riojano was awarded the Marketing Award for its “Vota chorizo” campaign.

Elena Martinez Garnica, vice-president of the PGI Chorizo Riojano, was in charge of collecting the award on behalf of all the companies that form the seal. A work of the artist Carlos Corres, who has made a reinterpretation of the original Mercury with a technique between pictorial and digital whose result is a more modern and contemporary image and has different shades for each of the categories of the Awards.

Jorge Martínez, Creative Director of Hola Jorge, and responsible for the campaign and communication of the PGI Chorizo Riojano, took the stage to explain the success of the campaign that sought to make the seal visible through an ingenious and empathetic advertising campaign launched close to the municipal and regional elections. To this end, posters were pasted all over La Rioja, a “program” was sent to homes, daily “electoral” messages were posted on social networks, press inserts, banners, radio spots, street surveys and a microsite (https://chorizoriojano.org/vota) where anyone could vote for their favorite flavor, sweet or spicy, and know on a daily basis the most voted flavor by community, age or gender.
