By Tuesday August 10th, 2021May 31st, 2024No Comments

The history of La Rioja is tradition, effort, flavor and union among its inhabitants. Universal products recognized by the Protected Designation of Origin, such as the Rioja sausage are just one example of this and a very interesting attraction for the thousands of tourists who visit the region every year.

Not surprisingly, last year the northern and inland destinations of Spain received the most tourism compared to other areas more dependent on foreign tourists, and a similar trend is expected for this year. According to forecasts by Exceltur, the sector's employers' association, Green Spain and inland destinations will be the protagonists of the tourism reactivation from July to September.

In regions such as La Rioja, its gastronomy is one of the main reasons for attracting new visitors. Rioja chorizo sausage is just one example of this. A product that maintains intact its link with the land from which it comes and that is made with care, following a traditional process that gives it a unique flavor.

La Protected Geographical Indication PGI chorizo riojano ensures that the highest standards are maintained at all stages of the process.

The result is a product that is appreciated worldwide and contributes to economic and social development. Because the history of La Rioja is that of a community that has always known how to get the best out of the land.
